Ghanaian President Breaks Ground for Twyford’s First Float Glass Factory

On February 24, 2026, President John Dramani Mahama of the Republic of Ghana visited Twyford Ghana to officiate the groundbreaking ceremony of the country's first float glass factory. He was accompanied by the Minister of Trade and Industry, Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare; the Western Region Governor, Joseph Nelson; and the Minister of Fisheries and Shama District Councillor, Emelia Arthur. Together with Mr. Yanchang SHEN, Chairman of Twyford International, and Mr. Lorry LI, General Manager of Twyford Ghana, the President broke ground on the landmark project, marking a historic moment for Ghana's manufacturing sector.
